WHAT WE WEAR, WHAT WEARS US
WORKS
The camera is my primary instrument, though I resist calling myself a photographer — the image is only one of several vocabularies through which I pursue my concept. Extending beyond photography into drawing, installation, performance, and multimedia, I interpret, dismantle, and reassemble the codes clothing generates between individual and society, leaving viewers to question a hierarchy that operates unnoticed at every moment. Each medium offers a different way to isolate and expose the Social Gaze, the mechanism by which clothing quietly assigns status before a word is ever spoken.
